Waking Up Prowled

ree

For the OG followers, they may have heard this story. For others, I want to take you back to the beginning. It's how my life seems to be going -- Things are coming FULL CIRCLE.

I'm an NC native. Born and raised. Post high school, I stayed. Through going to HPU basketball games, I grew to love the school and chose to attend as a college student.

Before I even stepped on campus as a student, I had already weaseled my way into working for the men's basketball team. I was shooting to become a college basketball coach, but quickly found it's lifestyle is NO joke.

My pivot, to remain around sports and while I got a business degree, was to go into broadcasting. Senior at High Point, waking up at 3am to produce a morning radio talk show and work on an adjoining sports talk radio station.

My first gig out of college -- radio personality.

"It's all coming back to me now!"

Starting December 6, I'm tapping back into those roots. Launching "Waking Up Prowled" to be another new feature as part of Prowled Sports. It's a weekly radio show that will air throughout the Triad of NC. Every Saturday from 9a-11a, tune into: 101.5 FM, 103.1 FM, 93.7 FM, and 104.9 FM. If you're not in the area, we have you covered: Everything will be podcasted or streamed.

Here's some tastes of what Waking Up Prowled will be about...

FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE COAST

POUR THAT FIRST CUP PULL UP A CHAIR

FANS FIRST ALWAYS

I'm just a dude. A fan. I like to eat food that's inevitably poor for your health, sip iced coffee year round, and prefer relaxed over gourmet. I'll pick up sticks to play some golf, but put them down and eat with a fork at hibachi.

The show is that stuff.

It's locker-room talk, with some current events, and a fan's sports hot takes.

Wake up with me, on the weekends, and come hang. It'll help you get set for those football tailgates or gymnastics exhibitions. Before too long, you'll be waking up prowled.
