Born and raised in the Triad of NC, Steven has stayed right in his hometown the whole time.

Steven is a proud High Point University alum, who began his time at the school working with the Panthers basketball team. After deciding not to pursue a career in coaching, he later moved his love for sports into media, with his first post-college career in sports talk radio.

IT'S ALL RIGHT HERE
For a stretch of time, Steven stepped away from a media career to create and launch a few varying businesses that call the Triad home. In addition to being an entrepreneur, he is back on radio in the Triad on WSJS and started Prowled Sports as a way to share love for NC life, sports, and bro-culture.
Why "Prowled"?
In honor of Steven's adoration for his alma mater, High Point University, "Prowled" is a nod to the school's mascot named Prowler.

In Southern pronunciation, it also sounds like "Proud" lending useful to all sorts of unique ways to use it.
