📍 Series & Setting
This will be the first meeting between the programs in 25 years (HPU 0–2 all-time vs JU), but there’s plenty of modern overlap. Fans of High Point lacrosse know the Dolphins well—as the most-played opponent in program history with 16 meetings in only 12 seasons. Despite holding a 9–7 all-time lacrosse record, the Purple and White have dropped the last four matchups, all in tight games, and the fan base would love a little revenge.
On the hardwood, Jacksonville under Jordan Mincy brings a gritty, defense-first style and is coming off the largest win in program history (132–45 over Trinity FL) after opening with a competitive road loss at Miami (86–69). High Point is fresh off a record-setting 127–52 homecoming win over Averett and a statement blowout of Furman to open the season. After a highlight-filled weekend, this is a clear step up in physicality. It also kicks off what is likely the toughest week of non-conference play: Jacksonville on Tuesday, UAB on the road Saturday.
