How Long Will You Wait?

Looking to open 8 locations throughout the Triad of North Carolina, this time it's High Point's turn. Whataburger is opening in High Point on Monday (October 20), after the chain also recently opened in Winston-Salem and Greensboro.

When the location on Wendover opened it's doors, the line was hours long...for days. This is a restaurant known to stay open 24 hours a day, and yet people waited to try it out.

Remember the days, pre-covid, that restaurants would have wait lists. There were times where you would have to request smoking or non-smoking preferences. Now, a "fast-food" chain has longer wait times than the nicest establishment.

How long would you wait?

Somewhere along my journey as an adult, I told myself that I wouldn't wait longer than 20-30 minutes to be seated or begin the process of retrieving food. If you wait over that, I think no matter the service or quality of food, then you'll feel some form of disappointment. It simply just becomes not worth it.

I have had Whataburger when driving from NC to TX. It was fine. It was good. But it was FAR from worth-it, to wait hours in a day. This next thing may shock you...

Five Guys, Freddy's, and even Wendy's, are all just as good. And High Point has each.
