We most certainly couldn't let this day slide away, without wishing the happiest of birthdays to THE BEST University in the land.
This day, September 14, 2025, for those that haven't been counting, is High Point University's 101st birthday. The hype video (above) was from the 100th year, where more records were broken, new heights were eclipsed, and championships were won.
We're expecting more of the same this year.
To get it started, we've got some ideas for you of how YOU should celebrate today with HPU...
Say A Prayer
HPU proudly markets itself as a God - Family - Country school. And those are values we stand behind.
Everyone needs prayer.
Don't Miss The Beauty That's Around
Well, to start with, HPU is one of the most beautiful college campuses that exist. But if you get the opportunity to stroll around there, you'll notice a common theme of historical figures in statue form.
We'll take their cue and recommend not going so fast today.
Slow down. Take a breath. Just try to enjoy the beauty that's around, and not getting lost in the hustle.
Lucky Penny Or Swim?
Another theme of the modern-day High Point -- fountains.
I may suggest excusing yourself to a bathroom before, but sitting and listening to the tranquility of a fountain can be very peaceful. It would really correlate nicely with our other celebratory ideas.
Looking for a little more pizzazz? It is 80's outside -- Maybe take a dip in a fountain? Maybe toss a penny in and make a wish?
Have An Ice Cream
What would a b-day be, without a little sweet treat?
We're not really sure how often it's even used these days. But if you ever hear a passive conversation about amenities at HPU, inevitably the fact that there's an "Ice Cream Truck" becomes a part of the story.
